Superman (1978)

We’re watching some of the earliest Superman movies for week one of our ADOLESCENT POWER FANTASY theme and we felt comfort but got all melancholy watching Richard Donner’s 1978 smash hit adaptation of the comic book icon, “Superman” starring the late Christopher Reeve and the late Margot Kidder. Hell, Gene Hackman and Marlon Brando are dead too. I guess Brando would definitely be gone by now. Mortality, man. Shit is heavy. If only we could fly off and turn back time. If I could find a way I'd take back those words that have hurt you and you'd stay. If I could reach the stars. I’d give 'em all to you. Then you'd love me, love me like you used to do. If I could turn back time.
